1. How do I get started on the recycling program?
First, you have to identify if you want to either be a donor of a charity or be a fundraiser for your own organization. Then, click on either RECYCLE AND DONATE or RECYCLE AND RAISE MONEY whichever your preference is. From then on, just follow our step by step procedure and submit necessary application and order forms. You can also email our recycle4kids coordinator at jena@recycle4kids.org for more detailed questions.
2. Is there a fee to participate?
There are no fees of any kind to either participate in the recycling program or be a part of our approved charities. Ordering and reordering marketing materials are all provided at NO COST.
3. How and when do I get paid?
Upon receipt of RECYCLE4KIDS.ORG, the cartridges will be sorted, rinsed and inspected. The cartridges will be valued based on our price list and a check will be sent within 10-14 business days payable to your organization. Make sure to properly fill-up the FUNDRAISER/CHARITY NAME section so you can be properly compensated.
4. How do I get my marketing materials and kits?
In our Marketing Material page, you can choose what marketing materials you want us to provide you. The chosen materials will be mailed to you within 10-14 days after ordering. There are also flyers, letter, brochures and other marketing materials ready-made for you to download an print.
5. Can we use our own boxes to ship our cartridges?
Absolutely! Make sure to you use our printed RETURN MERCHANDISE LABEL, properly fill out the return address information, and attach it to your shipping box.
6. How do we pack our cartridges?
Properly place your empty inkjet cartridge into its original packaging or use a protective packing material such as bubble wrap or newspaper.
7. What are the minimum requirements for shipment?
EMPTY INKJETS – There is no minimum requirement for shipment. Sending empty inkjet cartridges entails no cost when shipping. You can either use a MERCHANDISE RETURN LABEL, PREPAID PLASTIC ENVELOPE, and INKJET RETURN BOX to ship these empty inkjet cartridges.
EMPTY TONERS- When shipping at least 12 empty toners, you will be using FEDEX prepaid shipping label which will be provided by Recycle4kids.org. You may also send less than 12 empty toner cartridges using our MAILING LABEL.
* Note: If you have more than 12 empty toner cartridges, email jena@recycle4kids.org to receive a FEDEX shipping label by mail.
8. How much money can our organization generate from your collection program each month?
Sky is the limit! The value of cartridges varies on its make and model. Empty cartridges listed on our price list can go anywhere from $.10 to up to $14.00 (All pricing are subject to change without notice). An actively participating organization usually earns $100 per month on the average.
